"I saw the light fade from the sky
On the wind I heard a sigh
As the snowflakes cover
My fallen brothers
I will say this last goodbye"

I packed all my stuff, everything that I could carry into my suitcase. Everything else that had to stay, they were put away in boxes and were left in the corner in my room. Today was the last day I got to stay here, for tomorrow I had to continue my journey in a place that was unknown to me. These years had been meaningful to me, and so did the people. They had been awesome,  one by one, they had been giving me meaningful lessons that I would need in my journey later on. As I kept packing, I stopped for a while, took a deep breath, and let everything rewound.

"Night is now falling
So ends this day
The road is now calling
And I must away"

Everything had been happening so fast since I had moved to this city years ago where I learnt about how hard life was, and now I was here on top of my success and everything. However, there were still some things that I couldn't bring with me and had to stay here, the things that I thought I could take for granted. They had been supporting me since then and now, but I had to let them go and started to move by my own. Honestly, I would really miss them a lot. My friends, my allies, my companions, they would all stay while I had to go and embarked on my new journey.

"Over hill and under tree
Through lands where never light has shone
By silver streams that run down to the sea"

I would remember on how I actually ended up here. I was lost at that time, homeless and restless. That was until I found a city full of civilized people and someone had picked me up and trained me. I was young and dumb at that time, the only thing I had was that I was an eager and quick learner. From that point I learnt about many things, from intellectual knowledge, social skills, and even fighting skills. I was learning a little by a little, without a clue that everything I had learned would impact me so hard in my story. All I know at that time was that I had to learn all of these things so I could adapt.

"Under cloud, beneath the stars
Over snow and winter's morn
I turn at last to paths that lead home"

As the memories kept passing through me, I gazed the stars, tried to count each of them before the clouds covered all of them and the rain started to pour down on me. It was silent at that time, there was only me who kept on rewound all those memories and all the rain that gave me the sign that it was okay to cry. So I started to lean on the wall and tears started to cover on my cheeks. At this time, honestly I would not be ready to go. But it was not like I had a choice, a meaningful one. This was the best choice for me, although I had to leave everything behind.

"And though where the road then takes me,
I cannot tell
We came all this way
But now comes the day
To bid you farewell"

The memories kept on jogging, it was when I finally got in to the first academy. It was really unpleasant, the discrimination to me was real. It seemed like days in those academy were only nightmare, but actually it got worse. I was bullied, crushed, and destroyed on the inside just because of my status as a former homeless boy. I tried to rise up, but immediately I fell again. Those years were really horrible, but now I realized that if it was not because of those ridiculous years, I wouldn't end up here, succeeded in bringing my journey to a level where no one else can.

"Many places I have been
Many sorrows I have seen
But I don't regret
Nor will I forget
All who took that road with me"

I still would remember when I had fallen really hard, that I wanted to end my journey and my life at that point. I already set up everything, but something told me that I shouldn't give up here, at least not at that time. So I aborted my plan and everything and I was grateful now that I did that. Now it seemed like I could pass through everything and I wouldn't be dragged down by everything else. I had gone through the worst and I survived, so I should be strong from that time until now on.

"Night is now falling
So ends this day
The road is now calling
And I must away"

Since that day, all I had on my mind was only to move forward without caring for anything else. I studied hard and tried to do anything myself. All I actually had in my mind was that I was alone and I would be alone in the end of everything when it finished. However, right now I still sometimes couldn't accept the fact that about what I had thought earlier. I was still human, I need company, as little as that would be, but it still precious. I guessed that my thoughts were mostly right, in the end with all my friends and allies around me I had to leave them and start a new page by myself.

"Over hill, and under tree
Through lands where never light has shone
By silver streams that run down to the sea"

My life turning point was not long after that desperate incident. The goddess of fortune started to pour luck on me. Although it was only a trickle, but it was actually more than enough for me. My hard work started to pay off, as I started to stand out from my friends and kept climbing with no one stopping me from doing so. I was nothing at first anyway, so I could still acted like I was nothing while I secretly moved faster than everyone else. When finally I reached one of the top place, although there were some other people who were still better than me, but I was proud of myself since I was doing this all by myself.

"To these memories I will hold
With your blessing I will go
To turn at last to paths that lead home"

When I thought that things would end up here, who knew that it hadn't ended yet? I was chosen as one of the participants who could continue studying overseas, on a place where only the smartest and the toughest that could enter. I was very happy because the chances that I could get in are very slim, let alone the fact that I was not coming from a talented background. I immediately accept the offer without any second thought. Although at this moment I kind of regretting my decision, but I knew that I wouldn't amend my decision, it was for my own good and not anyone else.

"And though where the road then takes me,
I cannot tell
We came all this way
But now comes the day
To bid you farewell"

But of course, it was not like no one was actually helping me. I still need some company, and those kind people who gave me the companies, I had been really grateful to them. Although many of them came and left and the few others stayed, they had been contributing in my success. I wished for those who leave so they can be successful in their own journey and for those people who could stay, I wished for them to stay with me for as long as possible, because I knew that nothing would last forever, would it?

"I bid you all a very fond farewell"

After those time spent on sitting and crying for those thoughtful memories, I saw the sky became clear again, signing that it was time that I should end this once and for all. So I stood up, wiped off my tears and continued to pack. Then, I put all those boxes in one place and sealed it away before tossing them into the sea nearby. No one else should know about it except me, and that nobody should remember it, including me. All that mattered right now was that I should continue my journey forward, so I wrote a letter to all of my friends about this last farewell before went to sleep as tomorrow, a new journey would wait for me.
